Every assessment at Rowe & Associates follows a thorough process to ensure we gain a complete picture of your child’s needs.
 
Generally speaking an assessment at our clinic and will include the following:

• Initial Parent Interview: An initial interview with parent(s) or caregivers to gather background information, including medical and developmental history and current concerns.

• Child Testing Sessions: Administration of standardised psychometric tests with your child at our South Hurstville clinic (typically 1–2 appointments).

• Observation: Observation of your child in their preschool or school setting (if required) to see their behaviour and skills in a natural environment.

• Feedback & Recommendations: A dedicated feedback session with parents to explain the assessment results and discuss recommendations.

This comprehensive process allows our child psychology team to identify all relevant factors affecting your child. After the assessment, we provide a detailed report and guidance on next steps, which may include strategies for home and school or referrals for additional support.
